Itinerary

Pick up your rental car at Santiago de Chile international airport. Afternoon at leisure to explore the city and surroundings.  We recommend visiting the historic center of Santiago (downtown) and San Cristobal hill to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.  

Accommodation at Director Vitacura Hotel

In the morning, depart to Casablanca valley (125 Km. – paved road). Visit one of the wineries in this valley, such as Indomita, Viña Mar, Veramonte, Casas del Bosque, to mention a few.

In the afternoon, visit the city of Valparaíso (70 km – paved road) and tour “La Sebastiana” Museum, former house of the poet Pablo Neruda.

Drive to Cachapoal valley (196 Km. paved road), where you can tour many different facilities and cellars, as well as learning the wine making process. Some of the wineries found in this valley are Lagar De Bezana, Chateau Los Boldos, Porta, Anakena, Altaïr, Gracia and Casas Del Toqui.

In the afternoon, drive to Colchagua valley (93,82 Km. paved road), renowned for being one of the most fertile wine valleys, mainly producing red wines of world-class quality. Some of the great wineries found in this valley are Viu Manent, Santa Laura, Bisquert, Mont Gras, and Montes.

Visit “Los Espíritus de Colchagua” (House of Spirits of Colchagua) (100 mt. from the hotel), a magical place that recalls the past by reviving the old tradition of mixing fruits and herbs with alcohol to give life to these tasty “mistelas” (spirits). Then, visit Colchagua Museum, the most complete private museum in the country, displaying an interesting collection of insects trapped in amber and pre-Hispanic artefacts.

In the afternoon, visit Santa Cruz Winery (25 Km. paved road), and get on a cable car which will take you to the top of a hill where Mapuche, Rapa Nui and Aymara houses have been recreated.

Departure from Colchagua valley and return to Santiago airport to return the car (125 Km. paved road).
