You will be met by a private English-speaking guide who will transfer you to your hotel for the next 3 nights. After check in, your guide will give preliminary information about our city and the entire trip.  Then, you will visit the historic and bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa, characterized by 19th-century Portuguese architecture and filled with quaint shops, restaurants and crafts stores. We will stop for an al fresco lunch at Aprazivel and enjoy panoramic views of the city and Atlantic coast. Next, head up the Corcovado Mountain to the statue of Christ the Redeemer, the fifth largest statue in the world, and the symbol of Rio and Brazilian Christianity.

Early Morning enjoy a trekking tour to “Pedra Bonita”, known as the hang-gliding and paragliding headquarter of Rio. We will take you even higher in a 40 minutes hike to the summit of Pedra Bonita. The views at the summit are astonishing. From the 2200 feet summit (695mts) you will be facing the massive “Pedra da Gavea Mountain” and the endless Atlantic Ocean. After the hiking, we will start a comprehensive tour of Rio de Janeiro.

This tour combines the historic highlights of downtown Rio with the modern attractions of the City such as “Porto Maravilha”, Rio’s newly developed port area, including the Olympic Boulevard. We will drive until the city Center and stop at Cinelândia area to see the Municipal Theater, National Library, and the fine arts museum.  After visiting the center of the city, passing through LAPA the bohemian area and the new beautiful new area, we will proceed to the “City of Samba”. This is the place where all Samba Schools create and design their Carnival Costumes and all that will be shown during Carnival, you can get a chance to see the backstage, planning and dance rehearsal.

Early in the morning, you will be transferred from your hotel in Rio to the airport. After arriving in Manaus, you will meet your local guide who will transfer you to your accommodation. Located on the banks of the Negro River in northwestern Brazil, Manaus is the capital of the Amazon region. It is a gateway to and from the Amazon rainforest. This afternoon you can explore the area around the lodge before heading out on a nocturnal safari through the forest.

Following breakfast, head to a port a private tour to experience the “Meeting of the Waters”. Cruise down the Rio Negro River and pass by the busy harbor of Manaus and admire the meeting of the black waters of the Rio Negro with the light brown waters of the Solimões, giving birth to the mighty Amazon River. For miles and miles these waters flow side by side without mixing. Visit the January Lake, an Ecological Park located between the two rivers and have the opportunity to see the giant Amazonian Water lilies “Vitória Régia”. The highlight of the day will be a canoe ride through the narrow channels (called igarapés) and flooded forest (igapós) of the Tropical Amazonian rainforest. Return to your hotel in Manaus, pick up your luggage and you will be transferred to your lodge in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon. After sunset, spot alligators and other nocturnal animals in the Anavilhanas National Park by speedboat.

Today, join us in a speed boat tour to visit “Aracarí” and “Bacaba” communities, where you will have the opportunity to interact with local members and see their habits and lifestyle in the amazon. Then start a trekking in dense jungle and getting up-close to an array of unique wildlife and learn about the local flora and fauna. Following lunch, visit Bacaba Beach located in the heart of the Anavilhanas National Park. Then we will proceed to visit the Biggest tree found on the region, a Giant Macucu, an incursion into the floodplain forest and explanation of this peculiar ecosystem. On the way back, we will stop at the floating platform where is possible to interact with the pink Dolphins, by feeding them and touching through this platform. Back to the lodge and dinner.

Following breakfast, we will embark on a speed boat and sail through the labyrinth of islands of Anavilhanas. When we arrive at our destination, we will enter the jungle for a trek of 3 hours. The trekking is of easy level and it will allow us to visit the stunning Madada caves which are giant rock formations located inside the jungle. Lunch will be served at the location. When we return, we continue the navigation through the archipelago towards the Paraná do Boto and Três Bocas. In the afternoon, we will do a non-predatory fishing of the fearsome piranhas. In the evening, a canoe trip to observe the nocturnal animals, especially the alligators.

Start your day off in Terra Preta, where there is an indigenous village. There we will find handicrafts made by Indians themselves – baskets, necklaces, wooden plates, bows and arrows. We will learn how cassava is grown and watch the process of producing flour, tapioca, gum and other derivatives. We will visit the Maloca (traditional straw house) of the Indians, where the Pajé of the tribe will welcome us with the presentation of a ritual with the participation of the tribe. Then, bathe on beaches of white sands, typical of the Negro River and Anavilhanas Islands. In the evening, a canoe ride gives us the experience of listening and observing the nocturnal animals of that ecosystem.
