Itinerary
Pick up car rental at meeting point in Chaiten. The village has many nearby attractions, El Amarillo hot Springs (30Kms), Caleta Gonzalo (56Kms, here the Ferry from Puerto Montt arrives) and Parque Pumalín, Santa Barbara beach (12Kms).
Accommodation at Mi Casa.
On the route going south, visit Puerto Cardenas and Lago Yelcho (46Kms) , Villa Santa Lucia and La Junta (154 Km. paved road) where you can load fuel or have lunch. Then take the X-12 Route towards Puerto Raul Marin Balmaceda, following the Palena river.
Accommodation at Altos de Melimoyu
Departure to Puyuhuapi (50Kms). See the Lago Rosselot and the Lago Risopatron on the way south, then to see Puyuhuapi Fjord.

In Puyuhuapi Lodge & SPA, different activities are available, such as Kayaking, self-guided trekking paths, also the hotel has hot springs that are recommended to visit after a full day of activities to relax, etc. Accommodation at Puyuhuapi Lodge.-
Departure to Balmaceda Airport (277Kms), on the way south the passengers could visit The Queulat National Park with its beautiful trails and the magnificent Ventisquero Colgante (Hanging Glacier).
Find Rio Cisnes and the impressive Piedra el Gato, following south the Carretera Austral is the small town of Villa Amengual. Then you will find lake Las Torres, a unique place to do fly fishing, then pass Mañihuales and finally Coyhaique to go to the airport to return the rental vehicle.

- 5 days of car rental Pickup double cabin 4x2, manual transmission ( Mazda BT50 or similar or similar ), unlimited mileage and collision damage waiver.
- Accommodation in selected hotels with breakfast
Important Notes:
- Entrance fees to places of tourist interests not included.
- International driver’s license is required for car rental, as well as being over 25 years old.
- Puhuyuapi Lodge has scheduled times for arrival and departure (only done by boat ). Transportation requests outside these times have an extra cost and are subject to operation.
