About Us

I started IDEAS because I believe travel could be genuinely different — not just better hotels, but real access to places, people, and moments visitors never reach or even know about.

Twenty-five years later, our clients aren’t simply looking for a trip. They’re looking for someone they can trust completely—someone who is always one step ahead, who handles the details before they become concerns, and who gives them the freedom to be fully present in the journey.
That trust is what we’ve built over twenty-five years.

How I think about travel

I have been bringing people to Patagonia for more than two decades. Every time, there is a moment — usually somewhere they didn't expect — where they just stop. That's what I am designing for. Not the itinerary. That moment.

You can plan the flights, the hotels, the routes. What you cannot plan, but can create the conditions for, is the moment a client goes quiet because what's in front of them is bigger than what they imagined. That is the real work. Everything else — the logistics, the relationships we've spent decades building — exists to make that moment possible, and to make sure nothing gets in its way.

Access most travelers don't have

LOCAL EXPERTS
ON THE GROUND

The doors we open aren't listed anywhere. A conversation with someone who's spent a lifetime in one place — and chooses to share it. A table that isn't for sale. A chef who takes you to his market, cooks in his own home, and tells you the story behind every dish. An estancia that takes no reservations, only old friends. A private art collection in Buenos Aires, opened for no one else.

None of this happens by asking nicely at the front desk. It happens because we've spent many years showing up, staying in touch, and doing right by the people who make these places what they are. Chefs, guides, ranch owners, local leaders, artists, old friends in new cities — these relationships are not a service we purchased. They are ones we've earned, one trip at a time. That access is not a perk we add on. It's the reason people come to us in the first place.

The Moments Clients Remember

No one calls us a year later to talk about the flight schedule. They call to talk about the asado at sunset they never expected, the guide who became a friend, the golden hour on a boat when no one said a word because there was nothing left to say.

I often think of a client from New York whose son was getting married in Buenos Aires. The flowers he ordered never arrived. Our team went straight to the flower market and created arrangements that were, somehow, even more beautiful than the originals. He never knew there had been a problem. He remembers a beautiful wedding, flowers he still talks about—and, over the years, a friendship that has stayed with us.

Then there was the family spending New Year’s in Punta del Este who, through one of our local relationships, was welcomed into a private beach home to celebrate the arrival of the new year around a table with a local family and friends. And a couple who found themselves at a private polo estancia, sharing an asado and watching a match alongside one of Argentina’s celebrated polo players.

These are the moments that stay with you—the ones no itinerary can promise and no booking platform can create. The itinerary creates the framework. The magic happens in everything that unfolds beyond it.

The People Behind IDEAS

None of this is one person, and it was never meant to be. It's a team of real people that has walked these landscapes personally, guides who've spent their lives in one valley or one river, travel professionals who answer at midnight not because it's their job, but because they're genuinely invested in getting it right — in making sure you feel supported, cared for, and never alone in the moment.

Twenty-five years in, IDEAS is still, at its core, a group of people who care — putting our knowledge and relationships to work so our clients travel with confidence, and control stays exactly where it belongs: with you.
