The Best Estancias

Every estancia has its own special character and history; we propose several alternatives in excellent estancias to spend a day in the Pampas countryside see the vastness of the land and learn about the traditions and activities of these working estates.

Estancia Los Patos

images/estancias-los-patos.jpg Location: San Miguel del Monte. Category: Polo Estancia.
It is located in the Monte District, southeast of the Province of Buenos Aires, on Route 41 which joins the cities of San Miguel del Monte and General Belgrano.
We invite our guests to practice one of the most exclusive sports in the world. We offer horses, all necessary elements and a specially designed polo clinic for those who wish to be initiated in this sport.
Also our guests will have the possibility of riding horses in our company while observing the various works carried out in the estancia in the different seasons: e.g: rodeo, vaccination, sowing, cult breaking in, etc. At noon, a criollo-style barbecue will be served with different salads and traditional desserts. After the afternoon activities, tea, coffee, mate and soda drinks will be served together with home made cakes baked by the chef of the Estancia.
We also plan a special program that includes full board accommodation at the Estancia and the use of all facilities. We strongly recommend a weekend stay at this magnificent estancia.

Estancia El Ombú de Areco

El OmbĂș de Areco, an historical estancia (ranch) just over an hour's drive from downtown Buenos Aires, is located in San Antonio de Areco, birthplace of the gaucho tradition. The Late-Colonial style mansion, built in 1880 by Lieutenant-general Pablo Riccheri, offers visitors a magnificent setting for an unforgettable stay.
We also visit San Antonio de Areco, a village where your guests will discover the gaucho tradition and the farmers who work in big Estancias nearby. We will make contact with the gaucho music and folk dances. It is possible to come across countless regional workshops and shops selling silverware.
Guests can choose from two types of visit: the Overnight Stay or the One-day Visit: The Overnight Stay can last from one to several days. This gives guests the chance to immerse themselves as much as they wish in the life of a working estancia, dedicated mainly to raising Hereford and Aberdeen Angus Stock.
