RECOLETA CEMENTERY
Address: Junin 1790.
Open: 7 am - 6 pm. Daily.
One of the world´s great
necropolis. It is organised into squares, which
are divided by wide, tree-lined avenues flanked
by marble mausoleums of different architectural
styles. Argentina’s most illustrious sons and
daughters (presidents, writers, scientists, artists,
etc) are all buried here. Among the most venerated
tombs, is that of Eva Duarte, otherwise known
as Evita Perón. We highly recommend you to visit
this impressive cemetery with a professional
tour guide in order to discover countless sculptures
and statues depicting the great leaders of Argentina
