Gloria Gaynor in Argentina
Saturday, May 18th
Gloria Gaynor, the queen of disco and soul returns to Argentina after 6 years to file her "Live in South America."
The tour "Live in South America" will begin in May 2013 and taken to the artist to explore scenarios of countries like Chile, Ecuador and Argentina. With nearly 40 years of career, Gloria Gaynor is present in our country accompanied by 11 musicians in a show that will travel the greatest hits of his career.
This is a unique walking tour that explores the hidden gems of Buenos Aires found in a neighborhood that you will not find in guidebooks. You will travel back in time to the 19th century and early 20th century to get a taste of the rich cultural and culinary history of B.A. You will visit an amazing historic market built in 1889, and there you will learn about our local food, fresh produce, etc.
Stroll through “the English district” discovering its gorgeous diversity of architectural styles, all set among beautiful cobblestone streets. Take a ride on the bus, an important part of the everyday life of porteños (people from B.A.) and your guide will take you to some other interesting places that are also far from the usual tourist stops.
Many of our guides are brilliant with kids and have put together special walks for children: for birthday parties, school trips, etc. Their repertory ranges from "fun walks" (e.g., Pirate Treasure Hunts & City Safaris) to walks that are pegged to national curriculum subjects. It's an ideal way for children to absorb history or have a set book brought to life. And you can't fault "the educational pedigree" of a guided walk: Aristotle taught this way: peripatetic lectures they were.
Recently moving into a new private loft in Palermo Soho, The Anuva Wine tasting is a perfect way to sample the many amazing wines that has made Argentina one of the most popular wine producers in the world.

Bajofondo ( winning one Golden Globe, two Oscars, two Grammys and 12 Latin Grammy). "The music from the Rio de la Plata has a unique accent but is universal.
This is the new album by one of the most powerful live bands in the world, but also the greatest gift (in size and ambition) that the band has given fans and those who just discovered: 21 epic songs that combine organically a multitude of genres.
All ingredients are Bajofondo this song: rhythm, mixing modern and old electronic tango, bandoneon and violin, piano and double milonga style poetic sense flowing through the disc (another example of this is found in the powerful "bar code" that contrasts with the smooth introduction and comes as a frontal sonic attack.
